What a sales presentation should contain
The customer's problem, your solution, proof that it works, the scope and the price, who does the work, and a clear next step. In that order.
The most common mistake is to start with yourself: the history of the company, the year it was founded, the mission. At that stage the reader does not yet know why they should read on. A presentation that opens with the reader's problem holds attention several slides longer.
The proof is the most important and most often the weakest element. Numbers, specific projects, photos of the work, testimonials with a name attached. Slogans about quality and professionalism are not proof, because everybody writes them.
The last slide has to say what should happen now: a time for a call, an address, a number. A presentation that ends with the word thank you leaves the reader without instructions.
