Do colour variants count as separate product photos
Variants of the same product are priced lower than separate items, because the scene, the light and the framing are built once and only the colour, flavour or label changes.
This is where the gap against a studio shoot is widest. In a studio every variant is a separate setup, meaning separate photographer time. Here the scene already exists and only the product inside it is swapped, so the fiftieth variant costs a fraction of the first.
There is one condition: the variants must differ only in colour, print or size. A different packaging shape is a separate product, because the model has to be built again.
When asking for a quote, tell us how many variants there are and how they differ. We then price the set rather than the item, and it is usually the cheapest way to tidy up a product card with many versions.
