Do I have to send the product for a spot
No. Good photos of the product from several angles plus a file with the logo and the label are enough. We do not need the product physically.
We need photos showing the shape, the proportions and the label: front, back, side and a close up of a detail. The better the source material, the more faithful the result, but they do not have to be studio photos.
If the product is still being made and exists only as packaging artwork, we will manage too. We work from the graphics file then, and the spot can be ready before the first batch comes off the line.
One reservation matters: we do not show features in the spot that the product does not have. The material has to sell what the customer will actually receive.
