How do I know my logo is not a copy

Every mark is designed from scratch, and before handover we check it with reverse image search and in the UPRP and EUIPO trademark registers to rule out striking similarity.

The risk has two sources. The first is off-the-shelf work: marks bought on design marketplaces or produced by generators are sold repeatedly and built from the same shape libraries. The second is accidental resemblance, because there is a finite number of simple forms.

A register check answers one question: whether an identical or very similar mark is already registered for the same goods and services. It is not a registrability search, which a patent attorney performs, and we do not pretend otherwise.

If you plan to register the mark with an office, say so at the start. We then run the project more cautiously: avoiding forms in common use across the industry and steering away from solutions that are hard to defend as distinctive.
