How much does website upkeep cost
Keeping a company website running costs 1 to 5 thousand PLN a year at Polish agencies. On top of that come the domain and hosting, usually 200 to 600 PLN a year together.
Three things are worth separating, because they get confused. The domain is the address and costs a few dozen PLN a year. Hosting is the place the site stands on. Care is human work: updates, backups, monitoring and changes.
Sites written in code are cheaper to keep than sites built on plugins, because there is no set of add ons to update every month and check whether they have started arguing with each other.
The most expensive option is no care at all. A site left without updates for two years usually cannot be updated step by step any more and has to be rebuilt, which costs many times more than the subscription.
