Why does a company need a website if it has social media
A social profile is rented, a website is owned. It is the only space where nobody changes the rules on you overnight.
Reach on profiles keeps falling, the algorithm changes without warning, and an account can be lost to a moderation mistake. The site is yours, its address is yours, and the contact details you collect land in your own database, not somebody else's.
Then there is search. A customer looking for a service types it into Google or asks an AI assistant. The answer almost always leads to a website, not to a profile.
