Which online payments to choose for a store
In a Polish store the baseline is BLIK and instant bank transfer handled by a single payment provider. Cards and deferred payment are an addition, not a starting point.
BLIK accounts for most transactions in Polish stores, and its absence is one of the first reasons a cart gets abandoned. Instant bank transfer, known as pay by link, covers the rest. Providers such as Przelewy24, Autopay, Tpay or Stripe differ mainly in their commission, payout schedule and how they behave when a customer files a complaint.
Cash on delivery still matters in some industries, but it generates uncollected parcels and stock frozen in transit. Deferred payments raise cart value with a more expensive range, while with cheap goods they only lengthen the process.
One technical piece of advice: connect a single provider that handles every method in one window. Three separate integrations mean three times more places where something can go wrong, and three panels to search through when a customer writes that they paid and the order is nowhere to be seen.
